Executive Director and Leader: Francis P. Wacker
The 31-year tenure of Executive Director Francis P. Wacker, Pennsylvania State University '33, steered Delta Sigma Phi for a large part of the 20th century. He carried the organization during a tumultuous time for Greek life, from 1947 until 1978. Wacker oversaw the installation of new chapters, conventions, and promoted a focus on leadership training. During Wacker's time as Executive Director, the Fraternity conceived of the idea of Engineered Leadership and began training and developing members.
