Boskey, Meyer
Meyer Boskey, City College of New York ‘99, is a founder of Delta Sigma Phi. He was born on July 24, 1883, and died on February 10, 1969.

Following his years at the City College of New York, Boskey attended Brooklyn Law School and began practicing general law.

Boskey founded Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity with a group of men at the City College of New York based on the then radical idea that a fraternity could thrive with both Jewish and Christian students. In the early 20th century, Boskey continued his service to the Fraternity as the national secretary. In 1914, Boskey withdrew from active participation in the Fraternity, after they restricted membership to only white Christian men.

In his personal life, Boskey married Janet Lauterstein and had two children. Boskey’s son, Bennett Boskey, also went on to become a successful lawyer.
